Before I say anything I love soundgarden and everything about them. They literally don’t have one bad song in my opinion! Also Rest in Power Chris Cornell you will be forever missed! Now on to my interpretation.\n\nTo me Kristi sounds like a woman’s name and with the lyrics being repetitive saying how this woman (Kristi) can’t do anything without this person “you won’t sleep without me” “you can’t breathe without me.” Etc, first I was thinking a abusive relationship where the other person has a high ego and believes that they own this woman (kristi) and are very controlling of her. But then I was also thinking maybe Kristi is a weak woman and is very dependent upon this person. Like one of ppl who cannot not be in a relationship, like they always have to be with somebody, or they are already in a relationship and can’t do anything for themselves so they always need somebody to be that person for them. But I feel as if my first theory is right because of the lyrics “Tell me what I wanna hear.” And “yeah Kristi show me what I wanna see.” Those seem to be the words of a person who think very highly of themselves and looks down on others, especially this woman Kristi who seems to be in a relationship with this highly ego-Ed person. But I could be totally wrong so, that’s just my interpretation.
