Vola’s singer has been pretty forward about the lyrical themes of this record dealing with self-entrapment and failure to communicate. This song feels like the end of the story for the male and female characters the album has been following - our narrator acknowledges that the relationship is doomed, and yet continues to replay different scenarios in his head, wondering how things got to that point.
