I'd like to think that I still care
And that's why these words sound so cryptic
I can't believe it's the truth
And that's why I'm withholding information
I left town with your money in the bank
Told me that you shouldn't have settled
Rode the green giant to the county line
Wrote you a letter
Yeah it was a sign

There's no looking back
No looking back anymore
No use for nostalgia not that it matters
You like to think you'd change the past if you could
Well you could but that wouldn't matter

Your actions touched me deeply
This relationship wasn't working
You know you could have had all the sky
If only you had made up your mind
And maybe it ended to soon
But I'm just lying and now you're crying
Why didn't you take the better man?
Things would have gone more according to plan

And there's no looking back
No looking back anymore
No use for nostalgia not that it matters
You like to think you'd change the past if you could
Well you could but that wouldn't matter

And I know it hurts to be a fool
But that color looks quite well on your
And I don't want to fuck with your head
You've deserved it ever since you crawled out of bed

And there's no looking back
No looking back anymore
No use for nostalgia not that it matters
You like to think you'd change the past if you could
Well you could but that wouldn't matter

No that wouldn't matter

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
