Well this song is kinda self-explanatory. The words of the chorus are simple yet they have a really strong message. I like the use of metaphor in "masks we've worn up til now". It means people try to be perfect so hard that they hide their true identity. When you think about it... Aren't we all sometimes trapped in this insane drive for perfection? So this song expresses that we should allow ourselves more individuality.
