Daisy Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I pack my things, time to get going
And hitched a ride into the ocean
Oh, I know I should get away, get away
I pack my shit, time to hit the road
And drove my car into a black hole
Oh, I know I should but I don't wanna change

[Pre-Chorus]
I need to hold her, I need to touch her
I need to hold her, I need to touch her

[Chorus]
They're shooting at me, grinning through their teeth
Not hitting a thing
Despite what it might mean, I'm not worrying
Grinning through my teeth

[Verse 2]
My winter lake house is freezing cold
And my polar bear don't do what he's told
Oh, I know I should get away, get away

[Pre-Chorus]
I need to hold her, I need to touch her
I need to hold her, I need to touch her

[Chorus]
They're shooting at me, grinning through their teeth
Not hitting a thing
Despite what it might mean, I'm not worrying
I'm not worrying
They're shooting at me, grinning through their teeth
Grinning through my teeth

Being indecided rules; Nobody will ever touch you ("Not hitting a thing"). You can –and will– constantly change directions; You're ahead always, leaving them at a loss: "Grinning through their teeth". This indecisiveness might catch up with you through the regret of implicitely changing your passions ("I need to hold her, I need to touch her"). In the process even your "polar bear" (who never seemed to care ;-) will stop following you're lead (nobody takes you serious-serious?). You'll have good laughs over all that happened, but it will hurt sometimes, that no one will ever touch you... "Grinning through my teeth".
