Amalia's Theme Lyrics
Delphi it drew us
Over the touchscreen
Delphi it threw us
Up like a stone
In sheep's clothing
Instrumental
The gods that roil
Inside of us
As she whistles her sweet oracles
Out by the poolside, ravings of suicide
As Athens is burning
Plots and visions, empty amber bottle
Opiate, the sky is blue today
Gone tomorrow, Castalian spring
Watching clouds
Amalia nods
Shield shroud
Amalia nods
Watching clouds
Amalia nods
Shield shroud
Amalia nods
Watching clouds
Amalia nods
Of moonbeams sacramental
Poolside
The cigarette smoke
That gyres up like prophecies
Glyph in
Dragging blood
Amalia swaying
Through the
Hotel corridors
Shuffling through the thousand
Years
Oracular and wandering
Over the touchscreen
Delphi it threw us
Up like a stone
In sheep's clothing
Instrumental
The gods that roil
Inside of us
Out by the poolside, ravings of suicide
As Athens is burning
Plots and visions, empty amber bottle
Opiate, the sky is blue today
Gone tomorrow, Castalian spring
Amalia nods
Shield shroud
Amalia nods
Watching clouds

This song is a riddle. The references to the oracle of Delphi (from Ancient Greece) are clear:
Delphi it drew us Delphi it threw us As she whistles her sweet Oracles As Athens is Burning Castalian Spring Oracular and Wandering
(The Castalian Spring is the ravine where visitor washed themselves before consulting the oracle).
The name Amalia is never used in connection with Delphi, afaik. It's also unclear in what time this is supposed to take place. Most of the album is sci-fi, and this can't really take place in Ancient Greece (the cigarette smoke...)
I would assume some kind of very strange future with a new oracle.
I haven't grasped a full understanding on this song but my interpretation is that Amalia is an Oracle that either obtains her visions through drug use or just happens to be a drug addict. The things that hint towards me that its heroin or something like it is:
"Plots and visions, empty amber bottle Opiate, the sky is blue today Amalia nods Glyph in Dragging blood Amalia swaying"
I believe heroin users will typically insert the needle into their arm and draw blood into the syringe before injecting it, thus "dragging blood". Nodding and swaying will be physical tells that she's high.
Additionally the lyric book has a pattern of syringes in the background.
So combining that with what silverspawn said above, I think all the references to Delphi are supposed to draw a comparison between Amalia and the Oracle of Delphi being similar in more ways than simply both being oracles. Perhaps Amalia is a reincarnation of the Oracle? I don't know much about Delphi personally.
