I feel like this song is about an addiction of some kind (possibly a drug addiction)

"I see you in a western sky/come and take your shape out in the stars"

I feel like Caleb is talking about how a vulnerable person in the grips of addiction sees their escape in the skies (being high) and that the escape takes its shape in the stars, providing a dark sense of hope for the user.

"How did you find me?/up in the shadows picking up my load"

Asking how this addiction became, because it is normal to completely lose track of how an addiction started/got so bad, and its always in the darkness picking up the heavy loads life puts on you.

"Follow me into the wild with a twisted smile, I can't escape Now I got you by my side, all my life, day after day"

I feel this is self explanatory, he's following the addiction into the wild, the unpredictable, with a twisted smile because it is something that hurts so good. He can't escape, its by his side all day every day, no matter what, even after he gets better or dies, it will always have a hold on him.

If you have experienced a deep addiction of some kind, you may understand where I'm coming from, but this is just my interpretation.

This song really reminds me of another band... just can't put my finger on it, perhaps The Ataris version of Boys of Summer? I don't know maybe I'm crazy.

I figure hes sing about outer spices of the universe coming to earth (1st verse all of it). watch the video, the girl is walking through the forest and she meets this weird dude with a scene of antennas and the moon in the background pointed up into the sky. Google how many missing cases were never found or had any trace of forced abduction with the stilll to this day lost victims... Missing 411, book ref, lots of cases! "I feel your shadow knocking at my door" their there but you got a veil in front of your eyes possibly. "Behind your eyes I can't escape From the grey" targeting victims and grey aliens :0! If they want you they'll fine you. In the music video the tvs are going "White noice" getting interference from something... total Sci-fi song!
