Flesh

The flesh of my thighs feels great
Thighs make for good drums too
The flesh of my feet feels great
Tapping
And slapping
On the floor
In fact
All of my flesh feels great:
The flesh of my back feels great
The flesh of my toes feels great
The flesh of my neck feels great
The flesh of my nose feels great
The flesh of my chest feels great
The flesh of my buttocks feels great
The flesh of my elbows feels great
The flesh of my ears feels great
The flesh of my shoulders feels great
The flesh of my knees feels great
The flesh of my lips feels great
The flesh of my cheeks feels great
Everything inside me feels great as well:
My lungs
My liver
My kidneys
My spleen
My stomach
My spine
My intestines
My heart
Every single thing
And guess what
My brain feels great too
I love all my flesh, bones, and viscera
All over my whole body
My flesh lets me run
And play
And laugh: "Ah ha!"
And love and be loved
My flesh lets me savor sunshine
And trees
And fresh air
And freedom
And you can't hurt my flesh either
Because my flesh is human flesh
And human flesh has rights
If you even try to slit my throat
Cut me up
And eat my flesh
You're going to jail
But you know what the best part is?
One day
Sooner than you think
It will be illegal for you to eat other animals' flesh too
Then all animals will actually own their own flesh
And everyone's flesh will feel great
