Settled Down Lyrics
So settle down
Feels like the earth moves
when I do.
So still, I'll sit... for you.
Until I can not move.
Did the bed shake, the house just fell down.
The city's in ruins, did you feel that too?
I'll admit I'm done.
That last earthquake was a knockout punch.
I'm bored again.
Torn between giving in, and getting lost for good
The silence is in my throat.
What time is it?
The bed shook and the house just fell down
the city's in ruins
and they're all dead and buried.
I'm sorry I had to move.
Feels like the earth moves
when I do.
Until I can not move.
The city's in ruins, did you feel that too?
That last earthquake was a knockout punch.
Torn between giving in, and getting lost for good
The silence is in my throat.
What time is it?
the city's in ruins
and they're all dead and buried.
I'm sorry I had to move.

Beautiful song and a beautiful music video, too. I think the lyrics are mostly about sharing bed with his wife. When he is tossing or turning in the night, it's like he's afraid that he'll wake her up. Every movement is like an "earthquake," and then he sits there in silence, wondering "did you feel that too?"
The only line that confuses me is: "I'm bored again, torn between giving in or getting lost for good."

@bluecassette I think you're close but it's a bit more general than that - a lot of mike's lyrics are about his struggle to get used to the settled down married life. I think it's more about that in general, that he's fighting his nature to be with the person he loves. Every now and then he does something dumb/acts up due to restlessness or a longing for his old life and it has repercussions in his marriage (the earth moves when I do, the house just fell down).

Giving in or getting lost seems to be about giving...
Giving in or getting lost seems to be about giving in to his desire to go raise hell or losing that part of his identity completely, which apparently he feels is part of who he is.
