Phantom Power And Ludicrous Speed

"That was the culmination of the pressure and stress that people were putting on me to make this record. I usually don’t write songs about making records, but I had so much going on throughout the last two years of doing this that it just felt right. I wanted to be left alone to make these songs. I always considered making an album as similar to creating a painting or writing a poem. There are no rules. There should never be anybody telling you what to do. My interpretation of the song is that the guy and girl's relationship is falling apart, the girl is blaming him for everything, and treating him horribly and the guy is going crazy, he's depressed as hell, and he wants to kill himself, which is what he's singing about: "Shall I deny my lungs their breathing rights?" "I'd put a bullet in my head if I ever lost you now" "In a dream of a hospital I sleep" And in the end the girl pushes him to far and he kills himself: "And as you drag the lake Pull me out do you feel the same inside you And as my body lays before you now, do you feel my skin? It's cold"

The band Pierce the Veil speaks of his disdain for marriage and women as he had his heart broken by a vicious, adulterous woman. Victor Fuentes was obviously a soccer player and his phantom power and ridiculous speed and so called vocal talent come from his soccer training and is of the powers of hell as an opponent. He is sad, he is crushed in every way possible by his resistance to doing what is right. He chose a life with the devil and is even claiming to be the devil in this "dead in the lake" reference, because he knows he did something wrong and his conscience is seared, he may have been a former christian with knowledge of the scriptures. No believer in Jesus Christ dies in a lake. Much of this is spiritual. I know this because he says his body is in the lake, cold and dead. He wants the survivors with Christ as a last wish to feel shame and fall with him for his falling and see him dead with the devil and feel sorrow for him. No believer in Christ will feel pity for him, only grief of the suffering he has caused in being against him and his unwillingness to be right with them, he is a full loss. He tries to add to Revelation for this. But the believers will not go to him to be tormented by his death with Satan and he admits he's cold in his death. Revelation 20:10 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. He tries to gain emotional support of being a martyr for the devil to counterfeit the martyrs of Christianity who suffered death until the resurrection. (Victor Fuentes says in one of his songs, he wants devil horns) This speaks of his desire in character and is from his obsession to have a million dollar house from oppressing others, and be rich, instead of doing what is wise.
