Ex's & Oh's Lyrics
I showed him all the things that he didn't understand
Woah-oh.
Then I let him go.
'Cause I found me a better lover in the UK.
Hey-ey.
'Till I make my getaway.
'Cause I'm the best baby that they never gotta keep.
1-2-3 They're gonna run back to me,
They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave!
They want me to make 'em know
They won't let go
Ex's and Oh's.
Kept him warm in the winter, left him frozen in the spring
So the hearts keep breakin'
and the heads just roll
'Cause I'm the best baby that they never gotta keep.
1-2-3 They're gonna run back to me,
They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave!
They want me to make 'em know
They won't let go
Ex's and Oh's.
Climbing over mountains and sailing over seas
1-2-3 They're gonna run back to me,
They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave!
They want me to make 'em whole
They won't let go
Ex's and the Oh's.

Maybe it is about being haunted by the feelings/thoughts of her past boyfriends...
but I think its simply about a girl who is great in bed (oh, oh, oh's) and how all of the guys (ex's) keep wanting to be/sleep with her but she has moved on to the next.
She's like a female player.
@micah2113 Congratulation you're absolutely correct.

This song is basically a female player playing around boys and leave them and finds the another one. Such a stylish, disgustingly hilarious song. Makes me laugh everytime I look at the lyrics.

So she's had a lot of boyfriends and now they're exes, so they haunt her. Oh oh oh. She doesn't seem too troubled by the haunting, kind of proud of all the exes she has actually, except in the way she sings that line, which kind of haunts me like a good little ear worm.
At first, I only heard the lyrics and thought it was X's and O's she was referring to, like it was a sign-off in a text, xoxoxoxox, hugs and kisses, (do people ever use that any more?), like those could really haunt you, but maybe she just wanted that in there for a pun/allusion.

It sounds like the ex-boyfriends were nobodies and she turned them into somebodies. Now that the relationships are over, they went back to their old selves, which explains the lyrics "1, 2, 3, they're gonna run back to me/Climbing over mountains and a-sailing over seas/1,2,3, they're gonna run back to me/They always wanna come but they never wanna leave". This delves into www.wikipedia.org's claim that they were needy.

This song is on a compilation CD in my car and it sticks in your head. It's about a woman who doesn't stay in relationships and leaves men wanting more. Her exes "haunt" her as in they won't go away because they want more of her but she's finished with them.

all I'm going to say is that my friend was trying to figure out this song and she pronounced it as "Ex's & Hoe's" I agree with the "female player" idea

Curious line "They always wanna come, but they never wanna leave."

She’s a w _ _e. The “Exes” are guys she’s hooked up with. The “ohs” are the orgasms. They always want to “come” but they never want to leave. It’s about sex and playing.

It sounds like this song was written by a narcissist who plays games and then interprets the consequences as evidence of being so desirable.

With lyrics like "Like ghosts they want me to make them all", it makes you wonder if one of her exes might be Michael Ceveris, who played Desmond Tiny in the movie "The Vampire's Assistant". Desmond Tiny could transform ghosts into Little People if they struck some kind of deal with him.
