Cut me open and tell me what's inside
Diagnose me 'cause I can't keep wondering why
And no it's not a phase 'cause it happens all the time
Start over, check again, now tell me what you find

'Cause I'm going out, I'll fake what's real
Can anyone respond?

It's like an avalanche
I feel myself go under
'Cause the weight of it's like hands around my neck
I never stood a chance
My heart is frozen over
And I feel like I am treading on thin ice

Am I broken, what's the chance I will survive?
Don't sugarcoat me, 'cause I feel like suicide
Just give it to me straight 'cause I'm running out of time
I need an antidote, now what can you prescribe

It's like an avalanche
I feel myself go under
'Cause the weight of it's like hands around my neck
I never stood a chance
My heart is frozen over
And I feel like I am treading on thin ice
And I'm going under

I need a cure for me 'cause a square doesn't fit the circle
Give me a remedy 'cause my head wasn't wired for this world
I need a cure for me 'cause a square doesn't fit the circle
Give me a remedy 'cause my head wasn't wired for this world

I'm going out, I'll fake what's real
Can anyone respond?
'Cause I'm going out, I'll fake what's real
Can anyone respond?

It's like an avalanche
I feel myself go under
'Cause the weight of it's like hands around my neck
I never stood a chance
My heart is frozen over
And I feel like I am treading on thin ice
And I'm going under

I need a cure for me 'cause a square doesn't fit the circle
Give me a remedy 'cause my head wasn't wired for this world
I need a cure for me 'cause a square doesn't fit the circle
Give me a remedy 'cause when it hits, well, it hits like an avalanche

    Song Meaning

Oli said on the TTS album commentary that he was diagnosed with ADHD recently. It hit him pretty hard because he has been living his life up until that point without that knowledge. He said his world view was a little skewed after being diagnosed and felt like his head wasn't meant for the world. Hence the lyric "give me a remedy, because my head wasn't wired for this world"

I love this song so much! Bit off topic, but has anyone heard of the band FROM INSIDE?? Well I read on Twitter that Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish have written all the music for them cos they are good friends in the UK. Check out their music video for their single BE YOURSELF - FROM INSIDE by searching on Youtube, it sounds very BMTH but still its ridiculous good obviously. Mad that they are doing this too for friends bands now, really love them :D

    Song Meaning

After Bring Me the Horizon's 2010-2012 There Is a Hell... tour, frontman Oli Sykes was in a really bad place, leading him to self-medicate. It turned out that the underlying problem was ADHD, and this song is about his condition. Sykes said; "It's weird having a doctor tell you that your brain is missing something – but at the same time it was a relief to discover. Finding out that a huge part of my addiction was self-medicating was a massive step in my recovery." The lyric 'My head wasn't wired for this world' is the truth. It's meant to me talking to a doctor, trying to explain how I feel sometimes – hence 'It's like an avalanche.'" Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD is a condition affecting the brain, which affects how people think and act. ADHD sufferers have problems with focusing and processing information. They may also have extra trouble sitting still or being quiet.

    My Interpretation

I think it could be the realisation that he doesnt fit in 'a square doesnt fit the circle'. He is the square. The rest of society or the people around him are the circle. This happened to me. At first I thought it is a new school and it is hard to fit in but after more a year, after trying to hang out with every crowd your age, younger than you, older than you, you come to the sudden realisation that you dont fit in, anywhere. It hits like an avalanche. But lucky for me there was a group that I didnt try. I fit in with them perfectly and they actually like me. That was the happiest day of my life! Anyway, awesome song! BMTH rulz!

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
