Oli said he had written this song a few years back and found it while digging for material for TTS.

In the album commentary, he says it was written when him "and [his] other half were going through a particularly rough patch" (his other half being his longtime girlfriend, now wife, Hannah). In his words, it was a sort of apology for his behavior and his show of devotion to her.

So no, it's about a person (pretty rare for Oli because he tries to be general in most songs) and not drugs or whatever.

It could be about a person who isn't good for you. You really love him/her but at the same time he/she doesn't care a bit about you. But since Oli said most songs of this album are about his addiction I this this 'person' is just a metaphor for the drugs.

I love this song so much! Bit off topic, but has anyone heard of the band FROM INSIDE?? Well I read on Twitter that Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish have written all the music for them cos they are good friends in the UK. Check out their music video for their single BE YOURSELF - FROM INSIDE by searching on Youtube, it sounds very BMTH but still its ridiculous good obviously. Mad that they are doing this too for friends bands now, really love them :D x

Being in love with someone who doesn't love you back, and doing anything for them just to be with them, even if it destroys you.

I love this song and the video. I think its about someone who would do anything to be with the person they love forever. (You could drag me through hell if it meant I could hold your hand) I think its pretty straight forward but it all depends on how you interpret things.

If you think this is about anything other than Oli’s ex-wife Pixie (especially if you think it’s about drugs), to start you’re - well um - wrong. And you would also probably benefit from investing a little time in learning about literary devices in writing, and just literature in general. Anyone here clearly has an interest in these, whether they’re aware of it or not. But yeah, I know Oli is known for writing in more generalities, but I’m really not sure how you could come to the conclusion that he’s talking about drugs here...
