EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY!
DAVID COPPERFIELD!
VERSUS!
HARRY HOUDINI!
BEGIN!

Harry:
You never seen a body quite the same as Houdini!
Slippery like linguini slipping out of little teeny-weeny
Little spaces small enough to fit your talent, David
You're not a challenge, David
Your biggest endeavor's your bank account, baby
So abracadabra! You billowy bitch!
Man, you look like a pirate on the Las Vegas strip!
Im swallowing needles and spitting out evil
You couldnt escape froma flat paper bag!
A batter with patter and, a matter of fact
You couldnt match my skill if you cut me in half!

David:
When I was a child you were a god to me
I had to do what you do
Now you're like a chinese wall to me
Bitch, ill walk right through you
This ain't the magic that you're used to
I float on ropes hands free like its bluetooth
My grande illusion makes your parlor tricks irrelevant
Lady Liberty is stomping on your Elephant
You fail at making movies and you fail at making kids
You should stick to what you're good at and lock those lips (OOOH!)
Here's a tidbit that might drive ya nuts
I own half your shit and I keep it locked up!
Got that slim figure thats built for sleights
You're a chunky stuntman dressed in tights
You talk shit about your hero? That aint right
But you cna look up to me now, I know ya like heights!

Harry:
Ah! You're a hack of a bob sagety act its embarrassing!
You're the saddest thing to happen to Magic since The Gathering!
Im hanging by my ankles on a crane i dangle!
I got lox on my bagel that you couldn't handle!
Smash your mirrors if your flying wires tangle,
And you can't hide shame with a camera angle.

Criss Angel:
Did somebody say Angel?

Harry Houdini:
No.

Criss Angel:
Oh...

David Copperfield:
See, would they be watching if it wasn't for me?
I'm the reminder that magic is supposed to make you happy
While you waste time proving everybody wrong
I'm backstage getting my supermodel groove on
You can relax, take a private trip
To my private island, suck my private dick!
I summon up a little Halloween brunch
Deep-fried sucker with a side of punch!

WHO WON?
WHO'S NEXT?
YOU DECIDE!

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
