Candy Lyrics
Keep your body in the air
Shut your mouth
You stay up there
Don’t let them see you like this
Wash your face and hide your wrist
Just like candy
You’ll go down
Stain my teeth and cut my gown
Paint by numbers
One by one
You will see and you will come home
Keep the water inside you
You will speak when spoken to
Just like candy
You’ll go down
Stain my teeth and rot my mouth
Just like candy you’ll go down
Just like candy you’ll go down
Just like candy you’ll do down
Shut your mouth
You stay up there
Wash your face and hide your wrist
You’ll go down
Stain my teeth and cut my gown
One by one
You will see and you will come home
You will speak when spoken to
You’ll go down
Stain my teeth and rot my mouth
Just like candy you’ll go down
Just like candy you’ll do down

"Don't let them see you like this. Wash your face and hide your wrists." That hit hard for me because when I first started to self-harm I tried hard to hide it, so I would hide the parts of my body that I self harmed on. I relate to this song a lot not just because of that one lyric but the song (from what I read) is about bottling up your feelings so no one else knows how you feel.
