I think this song is about how sandy (the main character) struggles with their identity and feelings because of what people around her say about her despite their even though their opinions don’t matter and arnt true (her dad says she’s the prettiest thing). I also think it points fun and points out how often people will hate others despite not knowing their place in the world like the lyrics “my brother says he hates me and satan is his master”. Overall it’s a song of the feeling of change and questioning of who u are because of others.
