Anti-Summersong Lyrics
Here now, long gone
Three freaks in a Vanagon
Went to the river but the river got down
And all the good people were hanging around
Too little, too late
Everybody gotta medicate
Through the winter when the winter comes down
And all the city comes to hanging ground
I'm not going on and
Just to sing another summer song
So long, farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
I'm not (he's not) going on (going on)
Just to sing another summer song
So long (see you later), farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
I'm not (he's not) going on (going on)
Just to sing another singalong suicide song
So long (see you later), farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
So, don't everybody fall all over themselves
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
Three freaks in a Vanagon
Went to the river but the river got down
And all the good people were hanging around
Everybody gotta medicate
Through the winter when the winter comes down
And all the city comes to hanging ground
Just to sing another summer song
So long, farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
Just to sing another summer song
So long (see you later), farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
Just to sing another singalong suicide song
So long (see you later), farewell
Don't everybody fall all over themselves
So, don't everybody fall all over themselves
Don't everybody fall all over themselves

I believe it's "fall all over themselves."
@SmellsHomeless It's also the best call out for those New Country guys that I've heard.

I think this is a tongue in cheek Decemberists self-satire. The title refers to previous Decemberists track "Summersong," which tells the story of a shipwreck where the crew drowns. Colin Meloy humorously refers to his songs like this with morbid lyrics as "singalong suicide" songs. But then the singer says because he's tired of writing these morbid songs, he is going to kill himself, ironically making this another singalong suicide song.
I think he's singing "Three freaks in a Vanagon". You know, hippies in a VW microbus. They were branded Vanagons from '80 to '91.
