a summer night spent under fluorescent lights.
called your phone and got an irritated tone.
wait for the room to clear.
look in my rear-view mirror.
don't know where we went wrong.
the tv is just a strobe-light.
keeps us distracted from another petty fight.
we need a place to meet.
somewhere better than my basement suite.
the sky's a dark electric blue.
the church bells make me think of you.
release me from this brick and mortar.
don't know what i was saying.
i'm not an oil painting.
can't alchemize the time.
i know it's just a school night.
i'll come over because i want to make it right.
we need some common ground.
