wow really surprised no one has commented yet. this is one of Nicki's best songs. I think pills n potions is about Nicki who is deeply in love with someone, is angry with him, but still loves him. He is like a drug to Nicky, thats why pills and potions. She is still hurt but still loves him. And the more she is angry the more she loves him , she's overdosing and she can't stop it.

I feel like this song is about being in love with an addict. The lines 'I get high off your memory' suggests that is is probably someone who has overdosed or an estranged friend or relative. The song feels like her forgiving them for doing what they did and what they put themselves through. Loving someone who is an addict is hard because they are hurting themselves but they really can't help it and this song is her forgiving them and loving them instead of leaving them. She is angry about their physical and mental state but still loves them and protects them.
This may be about a lover or friend but quite possibly her father. He struggled with addiction and put their family through a lot of hardships because of it. Maybe this is her forgiving him.
I really like this song and I really like Nicki's more raw and emotional side and this is a reflection of her underrated artistry.
