I know it hurts
You know I'd quench that thirst
(I can treat you better than her)
You say you're lonely
I say you'll think about it
'Cause you're the only one who resonates
That chase, mouth open like high

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover (mouth open, you're high)
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

I know it hurts
You know I'd put you first
(I can fuck you better than her)
You say you want me
I say you'll live without it
Unless you're the only one who instigates
Get your mouth open you're high

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover (mouth open, you're high)
Flying like a streamer, thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

Feel your body closing, I can rip it open
Suck me up, I'm healing for the shit you're dealing
Smoke on your skin to get those pretty eyes rolling
My thighs are apart for when you're ready to breathe in
Suck me up, I'm healing for the shit you're dealing
High motherfucker, get your mouth open, you know you're mine

I'll put you first, just close your eyes and dream about it
Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover
I'll quench your thirst, just chase the high and stop your doubting
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other

High (high, high)
High (high, high)

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

    My Interpretation

This song has so much meaning for me because it perfectly fits what I'm thinking and feeling right now towards my ex. We broke up about a year ago and we recently got back in contact with each other. We had the most amazing sexual connection and I don't believe either of us can find anything like it anywhere else and we both admitted that to each other recently. I just came out of a relationship and he has a girlfriend but I'm really not phased by her.

"you say you're lonely": to me, this means that although he's in a relationship, there's always an element of loneliness because no one understands him like I do.

"Give me two weeks you won't recognise her": I know that all it will take is a little time together (it won't even take two weeks) and things will be how they used to be. It's happened before, it will happen again.

"I can fuck you better than her": No one can fuck him like I can

"Motherfucker, get your mouth open, you know you’re mine": I pretty much know that he's mine and he knows it too. The same applies vice versa

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
