I think of you
I haven't slept
I think I do
But I don't forget
My body moves
Goes where I will
But though I try my heart stays still
It never moves
Just won't be led
And so my mouth waters to be fed
And you're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
Always in my head
Always in my head
This, I guess
Is to tell you you're chosen out from the rest
I haven't slept
I think I do
But I don't forget
My body moves
Goes where I will
But though I try my heart stays still
It never moves
Just won't be led
And so my mouth waters to be fed
And you're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
You're always in my head
Always in my head
Always in my head
This, I guess
Is to tell you you're chosen out from the rest

To me, this song is about any form of love where you're struggling with something, if that's being broken up, being away from each other, the feelings not being returned, etc. To me, I think of long distance relationships more though, they're closer to my heart. It doesn't have to be about a lover to me, though. It can be about anyone who is a way, friends, family, etc.
I like to think about how you're so far away, but the person you love is always in your head, and though you try to get on with every day activities, you just can't shake how much you miss them. 'My body moves, goes where I will, but though I try my heart stays still.'
To me, this song is just about missing people.
@HutcherJay I agree with your interpretation. My ex dedicated this song to me and that's what he was trying to say.
