I am longing for your poison
Like a cancer for its prey
Shot an arrow, in your harbor
Where you waited in the rain
I am sire, I am ivy
I am no one, I'm nobody
I am longing for your honey
I am longing for your love
And the shot goes through my head and back
Gun shot, I can't take it back
Lay me down in your ocean
Carry me and my burden
I was dreaming about your honey
I was hoping you'd save me
And the shot goes through my head and back
Gun shot, I can't take it back
My heart cracked, really loved you bad
Gun shot, I'll never get you back, never get you back
And I ache, while you're not here
I can feel you aching
Wide awake, why you're not here
I can feel you firing straight into my heart
Goes through my head and back
Gun shot, I can't take it back
My heart cracked, really loved you bad
Gun shot, I'll never get you back, never get you back,
Never get you back, never get you back, never get you back
Like a cancer for its prey
Shot an arrow, in your harbor
Where you waited in the rain
I am sire, I am ivy
I am no one, I'm nobody
I am longing for your honey
I am longing for your love
Gun shot, I can't take it back
Carry me and my burden
I was dreaming about your honey
I was hoping you'd save me
Gun shot, I can't take it back
My heart cracked, really loved you bad
Gun shot, I'll never get you back, never get you back
I can feel you aching
Wide awake, why you're not here
I can feel you firing straight into my heart
Gun shot, I can't take it back
My heart cracked, really loved you bad
Gun shot, I'll never get you back, never get you back,
Never get you back, never get you back, never get you back

An addiction to a person. Deadly addiction.
Lykki Li says it's about this: "Well, it’s about that point of no return in a love relationship. About all the things you say and do that you can’t take back, and ultimately about love’s toxicity and its similarity to addiction — for better and for worse."
from NY Times interview [the NY Times "T Magazine" specifically]

the first line is indicative of the entire song. ' longing for your your poison' longing for love that it is damaging or terminal. 'like a cancer for its prey' cancer doesn't care if it consumes the host and furthermore when the cancer consumes the host it destroys itself in this way it shows a destructive form of love that not only disregards the well being of the self but of the toher party involved, in need of their love no matter what the cost. whether it be terminal or not
