Avril basically is just expressing her love for Japan. She did live in Japan for a while before making this song and it was all for fun. You cans see in the music video her walking around a street in Japan and waving at different people. There were even some Japanese girls in it that must have been invited to come be apart of it not talking about the red-haired ones. It doesn't deserve the hate it was getting and it is actually very catchy K-K-K-Kawaii!!
