This song is about the media ignoring the actions of the ever growing police and surveillance state in the U.S. while cramming pop culture nonsense into peoples minds.
The mainstream media is ignoring the problem and sensationalizing pop stars while the government is "hard at play" taking away the rights of the people all the while the media is also telling the people to listen to the government's every wish "always praised to do what they say" and calling anyone who disagrees"deranged" now would also be a good time for me to point out that the site has the lyrics wrong. (as of April 24, 2014 anyway)
