Beauty In Tragedy Lyrics
There is beauty in tragedy
The heart won't stop beating,
For the end is a new beginning
Where sorrow pulls the skyline of reality
And restarts a love ever after
As we grasp beyond defeat
So keep us breathing a little longer a little longer
For just one moment with one another with one another
This night is falling on my hearts shame
These feelings bring tears to my eyes
Just take away my world,
Leave my side
Hear the angels sing,
As they embrace you with a warm welcome home
With a warm welcome home
Hear the angels sing
Hear the angels sing
Tomorrow, the air will be a little colder
But I'll be sure to breathe for the both of us.
And the nights
May be a little darker
But I'll be sure to carry the torch to warm the hearts
That never got to feel yours
I can hear your voice,
I can't hear your voice
But that's okay
'Cause I can feel you in my heart
I can hear your voice,
I can't hear your voice
But that's okay
'Cause I can feel you in my heart
One morning I'll wake up to you,
One morning I'll hear the angels sing.
On that morning we won't be worried about the weather
Nor will we mind
where the hands lie
on the clock tower
I'll be sure to write your name in the sand
Where the waves can't wash it away
I'll be sure to write your name in the sand
Where the waves can't wash it away
Until then I'll walk,
Until then I'll breathe in your name!
Never surrender the dream you had for this world to love,
to forgive
To make something out of nothing!
I will feel you, I will hear you forever!

I think the song is about someone who passed away (Hear the angels sing, as they embrace you with a warm welcome home). The person doesn't want to forget them (I'll write your name in the sand...) and acknowledges that even though they're gone, he can still feel their presence (I can't hear your voice...), and gains some comfort in the fact that they'll be together in Heaven again someday (One morning I'll wake up to you...)
It truly is a beautiful song, and probably the only metal/hardcore song I can think of that fits that adjective.
This song is definitely about losing someone you love and how you'll never forget them. But you know that you'll see them in heaven when you die.
Yee yee fam, but what if the song is all about Jesus (considering ABR is Christian) I mean it sounds like a loved one passing but, it makes sense to me why he would write his saviors name in the sand (sand not sun) where the waves can't wash it away.
@ReddBitesAugust I think that it is intentionally open to the interpretation as a loved one passing, but I also agree that it is about Jesus. It makes so much more sense in that light.

@ReddBitesAugust almost sounds like they are the words of Jesus / God talking to someone who has passed

I agree with @mattdumer7 's comment regarding the loss of a loved one. I do personally also agree that this is quite a beautiful song for the genre, the tempo of this song expresses great emotion too. Really captures the changing emotions of the lyrics.
Great song!
Considering that they are a Christian band (I believe), I think this song is about his religion. It may be a time when he has started drifting from his God and his beliefs.
@Ericm1852 Thinking a bit more about it, I now believe that it is about the crucifixion of Jesus.

@Ericm1852 Wow, now that i think about it, it really does seem to be about the crucifixion. They like to make the lyrics intentionally have multiple interpretations, so I don't think that it is at all wrong to say that it is about the loss of a loved one, but the crucifixion perspective makes alot of the lyrics make total sense. Plus, Matt said in an interview that it was based on his faith and religious views.

This song can be taken in two ways. A loss of someone or what I believe Jake is singing about which is Jesus.
"Until then i"ll walk until then I'll breathe in your name Never surrender the dream you had for this world to love to forgive to make something out of nothing I will hear you I will feel you Forever" Inspirational song and lyrics like all of their music.
