Shine a Light Lyrics

Slowly rewind through the past, space and time
There you'll see what's inside
You're the son, you're in line
See, the men of the cloth got it wrong from the off
Out of line, out of reach
Me and you were born to seek
Shine a light
Shine a light

Rising fast on my feet
Let me breathe, let me speak
I'm at home, I'm alive
Pulsing veins prophesise
Crystalline in the dark
All you see is the spark
All you feel you don't speak
Me and you, born to seek
Shine a light
Shine a light

And sure enough, we've been in love
I've seen the look in your eyes
Shine a light
Come on, shine a light
Come on, shine a light
Come on, shine a light
Come on, shine a light
Come on, shine a light

Cover art for Shine a Light lyrics by Beady Eye

David Sitek describes this as 'a trippy album' and it's great for those who take drugs lots apparently. This is a proper curveball in experiemntal terms. It's almost like what a black Liam would sing if he wasn't from Burnage. I almost cant listen to this cos it's just a million miles away from the Britpop nostalgia I feed off.

It goes on a bit too long I think, yes I think it's probably best near the end, just let it play in the backround, funky little number, just needed to stray a bit more from it's safe beat style, although to be fair it does have an interval in the middle 'And sure enough'.
