Second Bite of the Apple Lyrics
Shake my tree where’s the apple for me
Tickle my feet with the enemy (NME)
No point laughing if you don’t know why
I phone my love just to hear her smile
The word is up if you’re tough enough
The word is up if you’re tough enough
Girl in the queue, got an eye on you
Think you’re in and she’s looking for sin?
Yes you’re not wrong
She wants to know what’s in your pocket
Singing that song, dig it all night long
The word is up if you’re tough enough
The word is up if you’re tough enough
The word is up if you’re tough enough
The word is if you’re tough enough
Come on! Show what you love now
Come on! Show what you love now
Come on! Show what you love now
Come on! Show what you love now

Takes a while to love this song but boy is it worth it. Robbie Williams reckons this needs a chorus, and I'm not sure, he could be right. But it does pretty well on it's own. I think it takes a while to get going, onee of the criticisms levelled at this album is the substandard of Liam's lyrics, but in this case, perhaps the lyrics are also taking up too much space, the verse in particular. But by the end it's perfect, it builds and builds and blasts off. Yeah, I agree about the lyrics. I'd love to hear this at the beginning of a pub crawl in the afternoon sometime! One for the lads!
