Everything, Everything Lyrics
I can use my head again
I always suffered then
My heart is stolen, that is sure
But I'll run for ever more
You know there's not a soul alive who understands you like I do
It's okay my love, no need to explain
There's nothing to say
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything
We shoulda learned to breathe again
Before we suffocate
All this talk but even then
We ex-communicate
I've never known another love who looks at me the way you do
And sees the light, the dark, the truth and my real name
You know there's not a soul a live could understand you like I do
It's okay my love, no need to explain
Oh
There's nothing to say
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything
There's nothing to say
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything
They told everything, everything
I always suffered then
My heart is stolen, that is sure
But I'll run for ever more
It's okay my love, no need to explain
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything
Before we suffocate
All this talk but even then
We ex-communicate
I've never known another love who looks at me the way you do
And sees the light, the dark, the truth and my real name
It's okay my love, no need to explain
There's nothing to say
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything
Your eyes said it all
I'm not looking away
Your eyes hold everything, everything

As I see it, this song is about a break-up. The speaker says that she finally sees "the truth", can "use her head again"; this could mean that she was blind before and not herself because she was so in love. And now that their love has decreased, she sees that they are not meant to be together and her partner knows it, too ("Your eyes said it all"). They still love each other, he knows her better than anyone else and she loves him more than anyone will ever love him, but for some reason, they have to break up and cannot be together. Maybe it is not a sad song, but actually a song about a happy love, but this is my interpretation, maybe it's because I've been in that situation.
I think this song talks about two people being madly in love, however, the timing isn't right, or perhaps she is the other woman. They know that even though his heart belongs with her, that he must return home, or to his obligations. "Not looking away", is her forcing him to acknowledge the pain he has caused his so-called love.
