Mi Negrita Lyrics
This is literally the worst translation I have ever seen.
My love has no hope Although it'll wait for you. My heart throws itself To a corporeal phantom. My love has no vengeance, although it might kill you.
This old man will won't tire, he will always follow you. Thus faith and love need no hope, come here love. Ugly love doesn't scream on my boat around you, clad in my pain, black from my love. Faith and love, a dandy mosquito it was a love like this. Ugly love doesn't take away hope, Come here love, come love.
My love didn't speak in straws even though it's not the truth. My lawyer works, so that you can rest. Thus faith and love need no hope, come here love. Come love, enjoy my grease around you. Faith and love. Ugly love.
@DigitalSolace Still great though. Thanks! lol

In the third line of the first verse I'm pretty sure he says "se Lanza" not "se ancla" as in is thrown not is anchored....
this isn't going to be a very good translation but here goes:
My love is hopeless Although you await My heart is thrown To a bodily phantom My love has no vengeance Though you kill
This old man never tires Will always pursue So you do not need faith hope and love Come love here Ugly love does not scream in my vessel Around you Dressed in my pain Negrita of my love Faith and love so dandy mosquito It was a love Ugly Love takes no hope Come love here Come love
My love you do not speak straw Though not the truth My lawyer works For that you can rest So you do not need faith hope and love Come love here Come love, enjoy my fat(???) Around you Faith and love ugly love
Ugly Love, faith (and) love
and I really do not get the dandy mosquito bit.......maybe there's a nuance or idiomatic expression in there that i'm missing?

this song is difficult to translate because the verb usage is not specific, ie "Aunque te esperara" could be translated many different ways because it uses imperfect subjunctive.
it also uses colloquial terms that could mean different things. "mi negrita" could refer to a lot of things, literally it translates roughly to "little black" (negr- meaning black/dark and -ita being a diminutive, though this term has been used to refer to darker skinned latinx women). also "paja" is a word that can refer to jacking off, which seems to make more sense than "straw" in this context.
that being said, it seems like this song is about someone reflecting on their own complex feelings of love to someone else. his use of "mi amor" seems to go between referring to a person who he is directly talking to, and a 3rd person/object that is not present in the conversation. For example, he starts off saying "Mi amor no tiene esperanza/Aunque te esperara/Mi corazón se ancla/A un fantasma corporal", which to me sounds like he is speaking of his own feelings/heart. Later he then says "Ven amor, disfruta mi grasa/Alrededor de ti" which sounds like a direct command to another person (his lover).
Overall, it sounds like he is describing to his lover that he has bittersweet and conflicting feelings. His (feelings of) love is hopeless, but it would wait anyways. I also get that feeling form how he conflates "feo amor" (his ugly love) with "fe y amor" (faith and love). i'd think that the meaning of "mi negrita" in this context is actually just referring to his own feelings of love, his dark/gloomy but sweet love.
Again, it's devendra, so it's not like it's supposed to make perfectly clear sense (no idea what a "Dandy mosquito" is supposed to refer to). but this is just my take!
