Q&A
Away We Go Lyrics
She is her own worst enemy
Her heart a landmine calamity
Waiting for someone to set her off
Morse code clicking out an SOS
Life raft releasing her last breath
Tonight she's gonna drown
Without me, will she reach the great beyond?
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
My little Jersey girl
If we could escape this innocence
Trapped between the fears and the words we kept
We'll live out our later years
Here in our dreams, we'll reach a great beyond
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
Sinking in this beautiful undertow, together with you
We're giving up
You can leave what little we believe
Our flaw, discard, come give me what I need
My thoughts won't go away, you are my holiday
Together we'll receive and reach that great beyond
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
My little Jersey girl
Her heart a landmine calamity
Waiting for someone to set her off
Life raft releasing her last breath
Tonight she's gonna drown
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
My little Jersey girl
Trapped between the fears and the words we kept
We'll live out our later years
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
You can leave what little we believe
Our flaw, discard, come give me what I need
My thoughts won't go away, you are my holiday
Believe me, take my word, I'll never break your heart
And away we go
My little Jersey girl

Dr. Straight and his team have done everything they can to save Meri Amory's life after the car wreck, but it all proves fruitless; she cannot be saved.
Her life begins to flash before her eyes; Meri feels herself guided by a mysterious presence through a strange landscape. The world morphs around her and suddenly she finds herself in a familiar place: the Jersey City dunes, on her way to meet a boy she's only met once prior. She is anxious; she has lived this before and yet she feels her heart beating faster and faster as she approaches her destination.
And there he is, at the end of the dock: a young Sirius Amory. The two embrace, not saying anything, happy to be together. "It's nice to see you again, Sirius," she says; and when he opens his mouth, there are no words. She is enveloped in a warm glow, as she is transported into the limbo of the Keywork, content but unaware of what her afterlife holds.
