Fizgig Lyrics

The glass, ain't half, full.
The clock, just struck, Twelve.
Not easy to understand what time, you leave.
The last man he probably wondered the same.
The past, is on, the phone.
New roads, don't pave, themselves.
Go find your vegetarian,
For who am I to doubt.
Don't leave a note, or feed the cat,
And shoes don't fail you now.
But i'll never buy.
I woke up, with nothing left
But an Empty Look, and Bitter Taste.
My line of good judgement
just happened to change.
That last chance of freedom
just Suddenly Played.
Well, I never meant you torture,
But I didn't care that much.
I'll find my Pescetarian
For who are you to doubt.
Won't leave a note, or steal the cat
And shoes don't fail me now
Now.
I'll never BUT your bad advice,
So full of life and BAD and BAD.
Who are you,
Ya little devil
Who are you?
Who are you,
Ya little devil
Who are you?
Who are you,
Ya little devil
Who are you?
Who are you,
Ya little devil
Who are you?
I'll never buy, your bad advice
So full of Life and bad advice
I'll never your bad advice
So full of Life, and bad and bad.

Cover art for Fizgig lyrics by Chevelle

I feel with this song, unlike many of Chevelle's older hits, that the message is actually pretty clear if you read the lyrics outloud.

It tells a story about two lovers who broke up due to different views. The song is about how the woman is explaining that she has moved on to bigger and better things. No matter what changes she thinks she made the Ex will never accept them and still sees her for who she once was (and will always be).

He basically says yeah you can do this and yeah you can say you do that, you can say you are this and you can say you are not that, but either way he knows she has never changed.

He wants her out of his life, just pack it all up and leave.

He respects her opinions as does she respect his but they both see right through eachother.

Serious? You should research better. Pescetarian is a diet, like vegetarian, but with the addition of seafood. Obviously it's about destroying nature and leaving the earth in shambles for someone else to clean up, like a lot of their later songs have been about. These ridiculous theories on how every single song ever made is about a freakin' break up is real fucking annoying, and people like you don't help the fact.

I actually agree with mikedr91. Not entirely, but I agree with you regarding the subject. A "Fizgig" is defined as a "a gadding flirting girl or woman." To me, the woman left him because he was no longer what she wanted, but she used and took advantage of him. He's left with nothing but a change in his "good judgement" The lines stating "the past is on the phone," and "the last man, he probably wondered the same" all point to this song being about a break up.
