THIS SONG COULD BRING ME BACK FROM THE DEAD
It is about two dying lovers, headed for the white light. Except one is being called back to human life, while the other is calling "Don't go, Tell me that the lights won't change"
i think it is a song of unrequited love and living in the past. how the jilted lover in his/her solitude reminisce and tries to bargain to the ghost of her romantic past telling him/her not to leave, not to change.
The way I have interpreted this song is that a young girl likes a young man and will do anything to win over his affection but talk to him. She mentions how she walked into the room dripping in gold while he only just kept his gaze controlled, and not that she just talked to him. she keeps doing this gestures thinking that it’ll make him notice her besides just talking to him! she attempts to try and figure out how to talk to him with the lyrics “rehearsed steps on an empty stage” and i’m guessing she’s planning out what to say to him but when she does, he doesn’t realize she wants him and is not seeing the hints.
I think she is talking about death and what comes next. She wants to know that they will still remember each other and that nothing will change.
I believe the meaning of this song is between two people how have found themselves to not be who one is to be. While the bigger person became the smaller person, the strong on wants to let them know DON'T PRETEND AND LIVE THAT HAPPY NORMAL LIFE YOU CALL YOUR S TO THE FULLEST BECAUSE AT THE END WHERE WILL YOU REALLY GO
My general feeling for this song is that is about depresion and not wanting to go out, or wanting to stay inside all the time. also, the inability of making real friends.

This song really takes me back, I’m not going to tell you the general meaning of the song I’m going to tell you what it means to me. In the beginning it starts with rain, in many films they interpret rain as either sad or for two lovers to make a more passionate scene. “If I would know you, would you know me” I take this like she’s looking back at certain memory or or person, she’s living in the past, off of memories wondering if they ever crossed paths or went down a certain path would they have known each other or would she have lived the life she’s lived. The next part she says don’t go, tell me that the lights wont change meaning this person or time period brought her great comfort & happiness, she doesn’t want anything or anyone to change she just wants it to be how she remembers. The last part “Where we go, Where we“ she knows everything is changing & there’s no way it can be the same again, who knows where we’ll all end up she’s scared to think they’ll end up no where near where she hoped or that everyone just goes there separate ways. She knows life is all about constant change & moving forward but in this case she got a little too comfortable & change came to fast so she’s holding on to those memories as hard as she can before they completely vanish.
