I interpret this song in several ways.
Firstly, it could be about women who are born into a religion that forces them to wear a burqa. I think this because of the line 'she wears her veil at night'. Some burqas have a slit for the eyes, so this could be where the line 'sad eyes' comes in.
If you listen to the song, the music is kind of like bleak disco music, so I also interpret it as a song about women in a club/ at a party, (I presume women as the song says 'she' at the beginning, but it could be about men also). Everyone is trying to act like they're having a good time, but they're not.
I also interpret it as a song about someone who is becoming increasingly sad, but is trying to hide this from the rest of the world, except they can't stop their sadness coming though from their eyes.
Clearly, the song's about someone that feels sad but nobody can see it.
