Scars will heal soon
The dregs in us spent the earth down

Better than drowning in a burlap sack
I live
As Alice
I die
Children shouldn't play with dead things
Foaming crows
Tear at their wings
Sad eyes cry crimson blood

Drop it it's dead
Wheels won't turn they won't turn the birdy's head
Sad eyes sad eyes like sharpened daggers
You'll never walk only stagger
Sad eyes quite cryptic

General CommentOkay guys, this song has no particular meaning. Alice Glass was secretly recorded during a soundcheck before the recording session by the sound engineer, and later he presented it to them as an extra track.

General CommentThis is exactly what I hear, and I've listened this song song hundreds of times. I really don't see how some of you are getting "birdy's head" and "Christian" and "cryptic".

    Scars will heal soon
    This drug in us
    Split the earth

    Better than drowning
    In a burlap
    I live long
    Alice attack

    Children shouldn't
    Play with dead things
    Only crawl
    Till our lonely sad eyes
    Cry crimson

    Drop it, it's dead
Well retrun and take the body home
    Sad eyes

    Sad eyes like sharpened daggers
    See, you'll never walk
    Only stagger
    Sad eyes
    Cry crimson

General CommentAt some point, she definitely says: Children shouldn't play with dead things.

Ahh, it's after "I lisp, I die", which I think is: I live, I die.

    But whatever...

General CommentI think it's about a school shooting. I know, plenty of songs are, but this makes sense to me.
(I believe these are the correct lyrics, by the way.)

    scars will heal soon
    you shrug it off
    except that you don't

(Pretty self-explanatory. She's reasurring herself she'll be okay, and she'll just shrug off the terrible thing she's just done. But she knows she won't.)

    better, it surely
    it don't fall out
    i live low
    i lisp, i die

(I think this is describing the shooter's life. The kid who never said anything, who sat in the back of the room and maybe had an embarassing flaw like a lisp or clumsiness.)

    sugar shooting
    bled with deadbeats
    only crawl
    so your sad eyes
    quite christian

("sugar shooting" refers to killing children, probably the students. "bled with deadbeats" might mean that her victims died next to people she considers boring or people who did nothing to help save the injured (probably out of fear). The students just crawl around and try to hide, with big scared eyes, instead of being the good Christians they claim to be and helping their fallen peers. Perhaps it is a Catholic school?)

    drop it, it's dead
    we drop it
    and took the body home
    sad eyes

(Again, self-explanatory. realizing her victims are dead. "drop it, it's dead" I think actually refers to hdr desire for vengance or bloodshed. She got finished killing. "took the body home" could be literal, taking someone (or part of someone) that she killed home with her as a sort of trophy. The use of "we" could imply that she either has a partner in crime, or is schizophrenic.)

    scars, i'm chopping dagger
    see you'll never walk
    only stagger.
    sad eyes
    quite christian

(This is her message, her point, her reason. To have pain linger with these people forever. "scars, I'm chopping dagger" might mean she's a dangerous weapon. She might even be referring to the students as scars-- distorted tissue left after an attack. "see, you'll never walk, only stagger" means she's crippled them or traumatized them in some way, whether physically or emotionally or what. And the things she remembers: "Sad eyes, quite Christian (sarcastic) blood.")

General CommentThis song makes me think of my old Amiga 600, particulerly the noises the games made when loading. It also makes me feel kinda empty and sad...without knowing why.

General CommentNo idea what it means, but what an awesome song. This is honestly the highlight of any Crystal Castles live show.
