The first time I heard this my first reaction was, "this song's about an incredible prostitute and this guy wants to know how she is able to fill people's desires like magic. "Tell me how you do it, every time it takes my knees out" It's like this woman is able to give him such an incredible blowjob that he is literally unable to stand the pleasure. "Just show them tricks we like" "Show your strings, your wires, check the lights" He's trying to figure out what she's doing that's different from every other woman. Every time she fills his sexual desire he never gets bored because it's like a magic show and he's the willing volunteer who can't figure out her secrets. I really liked Experiman's take on this song. I think about being attracted to someone and knowing that they put on a facade and wanting to know who is under it.
I agree with Experiman, but i think its a dialogue from a person watching another person exteriorize some "demons" and "poisons", and the talking person is surprised how the second manages to hide that so deep (enough to make the first person surprised). And since the talking person has demons too, he want to learn to hide his too.
This, to me, is definitely about sex. A prostitute that's incredible. Flling his needs. It amazes him.
