22 Lyrics
and make fun of our exes, ah ah. ah ah.
it feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight
to fall in love with strangers, ah ah. ah ah.
we're happy free confused and lonely at the same time
it's miserable and magical, oh yeah
tonight's the night when we forget about the deadlines
it's time
i don't know about you
but i'm feeling 22
everything will be alright if
you keep me next to you
you don't know about me
but i'll bet you want to
everything will be alright if
we just keep dancing like we're
22
22
this place is too crowded.
too many cool kids. ah ah. ah ah.
(who's taylor swift anyway? ugh)
it seems like one of those nights,
we ditch the whole scene and end up dreaming
instead of sleeping.
we're happy free confused and lonely in the best way
it's miserable and magical, oh yeah
tonight's the night when we forget about the heartbreaks
it's time
i don't know about you
but i'm feeling 22
everything will be alright if
you keep me next to you
you don't know about me
but i'll bet you want to
everything will be alright if
we just keep dancing like we're
22
22
i don't know about you
22
22
we ditch the whole scene
it feels like one of those nights,
we won't be sleeping
it feels like one of those nights,
you look like bad news
i gotta have you
i gotta have you
but i'm feeling 22
everything will be alright if
you keep me next to you
you don't know about me
but i'll bet you want to
everything will be alright if
we just keep dancing like we're
22
22
22
22
we ditch the whole scene
it feels like one of those nights,
we won't be sleeping
it feels like one of those nights,
you look like bad news
i gotta have you
i gotta have you
Swift sings of the conflicted emotions of being aged 22 on this collaboration with Swedish producers Max Martin and Shellback. She told Billboard magazine: "For me, being 22 has been my favorite year of my life. I like all the possibilities of how you're still learning, but you know enough. You still know nothing, but you know that you know nothing. You're old enough to start planning your life, but you're young enough to know there are so many unanswered questions. That brings about a carefree feeling that is sort of based on indecision and fear and a the same time letting lose. Being 22 has taught me so much."
This song is all about having a good time and being free :)
this is an awesome song im glad taylor swift is writing and singing a new variety of songs happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time?/in the best way - i think shes met a guy she likes
This songs about living in the moment of being 22 and going out for a night and having fun. Being happy, free, confused :)
To me, this song seems to describe college, especially the more fun parts of college. Even just the lyric "We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time." I know Taylor's probably never lived in a dorm or had the traditional college experience, but I guess that's how the song applies to my life.
well on youtube there was this guy going crazy because he got the lyrics heard wrong he thought it said " It feels like one of those nights. Dress up like Hitler. Make fun of our accents. ....Why the hell would she say that???
trisno marang sliro.
Not all of the things you were doing at 22 seem pointless many years later. But those bad or mysterious guys, always with a good excuse, are not what you're looking for anymore. You may still like to party and let go, but you do want to listen to them and care about those who listen to you and not minimize your priorities. You start to appreciate those adults that after some bad experiences are still positive and have faced those moments with grace, without fear and are now focusing on the present, without letting the past keep them prisoners of what once was or of some mistakes. You relate to people that can put their own needs and ego aside for a while and care about you, making you dream again as well as making the dreams as real as they can.
Wait... how old is she??????? But she is growing up.. we should respect that.
This song is a blatant ripoff of Rebecca Black's "Friday." It is also grossly inferior. Watch both videos back to back. Rebecca's complete inexperience and lack of self awareness inspires pity, while Taylor's practiced, yet inept vamping is embarrassing on a completely different level. Rebecca's lyrics are funny, albeit unintentionally so, while Taylor's lyrics are the kind of vacuous fluff used to sell soft drinks to teenagers. "Friday" sticks in my head for hours after I hear. I just listened to "22" and I already forgot the tune. And whose party would you rather be at? OK, I'd rather be at Taylor's party too, but at least Rebecca has one black friend.
No.
