Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife) Lyrics
A passing life each day a carving on the wall
It’s like a night without awakening
The truth is lost and maybe never to be found
Like the shadows of my pantomime
When all the world is gathered for the final feast
Will there be someone to believe in me?
The voices echoing in my distorted mind
Is this for real or just a dream?
(Am I losing my mind? I am not afraid, my dear)
[Chorus:]
Sing for me angel of afterlife calming me down
Chaos inside my nebula
And may the wrong turn to right in a celestial light
Forgive my sacrimony
Tell me what they say that I’m supposed to know
Tell me every little detail
Make truth appear for me as distant memories
Like pictures on a silver screen
It all becomes clear
The truth will appear
Forever I'm there for you and sing...
[Chorus]
And now leave me alone
Erase my memory
Don’t want to hear, don’t want to see
Don’t want to think about the lie that follows me
All becomes clear
But no one will hear my testimony
I am your angel of afterlife
Calming you down
Silence inside your nebula
And when the wrong turns to right in a celestial light
I’ll heed your testimony
[Chorus]
(Ring around a rosie,
A pocketful of posies,
Ashes, ashes
We all fall down)
It’s like a night without awakening
The truth is lost and maybe never to be found
Like the shadows of my pantomime
When all the world is gathered for the final feast
Will there be someone to believe in me?

I think at the end it's "... i'll heed your testimony". Good song.
This is the point where the protagonist sits in the cell after facing his brother. He carves his story on the wall. The only thing that comforts him is the ghost of his dead sister Jolee, the Angel of Afterlife, which appears several times during his imprisonment and sings for him. I think that after this song the album begins to retell the story from the beginning, starting with Ashes to Ashes, which is about the family slowly falling apart after the death of Jolee. But I don't know when the circle is complete yet, but I think it could be on "My Confession", since its lyrics are nearly identical with the spoken word passage on "Manus Dei". But if that is the case I don't know what happens in the following songs (Silverthorn - Prodigal Son).
I think I figured it out - "My Confession" is the confession he makes at the cathedral. Silverthorn is the moment he and Robert meet again. "Falling Like the Fahrenheit" is Robert seeing his evil plans completed. After that, the story's gone full-cycle: The protagonist is in prison, while Robert is free but still suffers - that's what "Solitaire" is about. After that, "Prodigal Son" is a conclusion: "Given love or given hate determines everybody's fate in life - be careful what you give."

I was concerned with their new album after Roy Khan left. Especially since I haven't really enjoyed an album of theirs in a long time. Black Halo was their best yet, Ghost Opera was just okay, and Poetry was so meh. But I am really enjoying Silverthorn. Tommy Karevik has brought an amazing vocal sound to the band and they sound so much more energized and inspired with him.
before i was trying to find some live video since Tommy Karevik join Kamelot. because i was afraid he will try to song like Roy,not with his own voice. Fortunately,he's doing great in new album! i like him since Seventh Wonder. Hope he'll doing great in Kamelot now!!

I feel that the song is about Revisionist History and how The Cinema acts as an outlet for it, the Angel of Afterlife, is the revised and romanticized account of the original events, a Sacrimony is a Sacrifice of something (in this case the truth) for no real reason, in this case it is unknowingly sacrificed in order to make a more gripping movie, it's also done in propaganda, making "Wrong turn to right, in a Celestial Light" Celestial in this context meaning Star-Studded, like the cast of a big budget motion picture. the song even explicitly states this "Make the truth appear for me as distant memories like pictures on a silver screen" and even in the song, the chaos inside the nebula is sung by the Angel of Afterlife, which to me is Revisionist History personified, sings the chorus "I am your angel of afterlife calming you down Silence inside your nebula And when the wrong turns to right in a celestial light I’ll be your testimony" referring to in time the movie's account slowly becomes the generally accepted truth no matter how romanticized or inaccurate the account may be.
It's the introduction to the album concept. A girl is killed by one her brothers who is later haunted by the memory of what he did to her years before.
Youngblood and another writer have confirmed that Jolee, the sister, "died in the arms of both the twin brothers," and there's some clues that the brothers may actually be the same person, a schizophrenic. However, it's never been truly confirmed. Youngblood hints that the titular "silver thorn" has a literal meaning, and is a contradiction - beauty and pain, in one. I'm guessing the "silver thorn" is a knife, and may relate to Jolee's death.
It's suggested that one of the brothers is good and one is not so good, as well.
I'm guessing that based on your reply, you did not view the video. The death of Jolee was not caused by a knife if the video put out by kamelot is accurate. If it is accurate, the death was an accident caused by the brothers fighting over a kite. One accidentally bumps into Jolee sending her off a tall building.

You guys might be over thinking this part "sing for me angel of afterlife Calming me down Chaos inside my nebula And may the wrong turn to light In a celestial light Forgive my sacramony. " First of all for all he has seen he is disturbed as the vocalist of Arch Enemy discribed "and now leave me alone, erase my memory, Dont wanna hear, dont wanna see Dont wanna think of the lie that follows me." Plagued about the sights he probably lied and said she just fell over. Think of omerta slip of the tung a slit of the throat. All of the at the same time may have severe side effects such as suicidal thoughts, and he prays the angel of AFTERlife will take him. Or other more viable part maybe the angel of afterlife is a heavenly angel he is praying to for strength and guidance to tell the truth so he can live (or die) in peace. Think about it angel nebula celestial light, first nebulae are sometimes formed from gasses ejects from stars that are turning into white dwarves, second they used celestial light in a literal form discribing the light of the sun which many religions compares that star to god. Think about that.
