I think this is about people in exchanges of unrequited love or love that is not real. Some speculate about the value in love.

I think this song is about unrequited love. ("your love is never good enough.... your love is lost on me") I think the point of view is from someone who doesn't feel the same about someone who is completely dedicated to them. They don't understand why that person loves them ("whats the matter with you") I think this problem is spawned from a heartbreak or something along those lines ("Dreamer you will waste time.... Love is gone") The main point of view is saying that they don't understand or accept the other persons affection
