With death new life begins
Id take my own to help you breath again
Ive taken for granted all of the chances
to bid you farewell my friend

And I still believe your with me
with every breath that Im breathing
Our time here was perfect
for me it was worth it
Im living the life you gave me

I cant believe that this could be
I need you more than anything
If this is the last time we say goodbye
please dont forget me

An unforgiving wave crashes down and washes all away
So how can the footsteps lead me to the next step
if I cant even see the way

And I still believe your with me
with every breath that I breathing
My heart was awaken as your life was taken
please help me through today

I cant believe that this could be
I need you more than anything
but this is the last time we say goodbye tonight, tonight..
I cant believe that this could be
I need you more than anything
if this is the last time we say goodbye
please dont forget me

This cant be the end
Im on the outside looking in
From under these street lights tonight
I can see that this is not my life
Ive been trying to live for many years An from this window I see many things
A life that once was full of dreams
but forever will remain a memory

I cant believe that this could be
I need you more than anything
If this is the last time we say goodbye tonight, tonight...
I cant believe that this could be
I need you more than anything
If this is the last time we say goodbye please dont forget me
No please dont forget me

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
