Do you know?
I count your heartbeats before you sleep. (you sleep)
I bite my fingernails to bone, (to bone)
And then I crawl back under the stairwell
To a place I call my home.

I really hope you enjoy the show,
Because for me it's just a bad day.
You need people like me to feel.

Maybe we're just having too much fun.
Maybe you can't handle yourself,
Staring at me with your lips and tongue.

You'll never know,
I don't know where I'm going to sleep tonight.
She said, "hotels are cheap and there's one down the street,
But don't you threaten me with a good time."
Murder the moment.
My God, I'm the serpent.
I'm sorry, I can't see that you truly love me.

Maybe we're just having too much fun.
Maybe you can't handle yourself,
Staring at me with your lips and tongue.

I've been having this dream that we can fly,
So maybe if we never wake up
We can see the sky.

Please, don't take this out on me
'Cause you're the only thing that's keeping me alive.
And I don't wanna wait for the down-set date,
'Cause I would rather end it all tonight.
And if I mean anything to you,
I'm sorry but I've made up my mind.

Maybe we're just having too much fun.
Maybe you can't handle yourself,
Staring at me with your lips and tongue.

I've been having this dream that we can fly,
So darlin' close your eyes,
'Cause you're about to miss everything. (About to miss everything.)
About to miss everything. (About to miss everything.)

This song was written by Vic for a fan, who attempted suicide in April. She was a beautiful girl who also helped a lot of people through her tumblr blog (bullimickittens) Anyways not all the lyrics are about Olivia but here are the ones vic referenced to her.

-"and i don't want to wait for the down set date, cause i would rather end it all tonight..' She had always tried to kill herself in May every year (this is also the meaning of the name of Hold on till May) -"and if i mean anything to you I'm sorry but i made up my mind" She told us in her last video that even id people tell her they care about her she doesn't believe it but if we actually do she said she was sorry -"I'm sorry i cant see that you truly love me" like the last one she apologized for not being able to believe we loved her

This song is beautiful just like Olivia, RIP

    My Interpretation

In an interview, when asked what the meaning behind Bulls In The Bronx, Vic Fuentes said:

“Bulls in the Bronx” has a crazy story to it. It’s a sad story, but it inspired the song. It’s about this girl who is 16, and her friends wrote to me and said she recently committed suicide, along with a link to her Tumblr page. It was one of the most haunting things I’ve ever seen. It’s so sad because she was such a sweet-looking girl too. There were things on there where she would say how she thought she was worthless, ugly, and all this crazy stuff. That whole thing really stuck with me for a while, and I wrote this song about her.”

OK SO, I connected this to Liv Penpraze’s last video on youtube, before committing suicide, considering she had a tumblr. BUT I don’t think she was 16, which could make my theory incorrect. Although, from what I understand, she did like Pierce The Veil.

    This is said video: youtube.com/watch

The answer Vic Fuentes gave in the interview connects so well with Liv’s video and there are some lyrics in Bulls In The Bronx that connect with it too, which makes me believe that the song is for her. For instance:

And I don’t wanna wait for the down set date ‘cause I would rather end it all tonight And if I mean anything to you, I’m sorry but I’ve made up my mind

Another connection I can see is with the song title Hold On Till May. If you watch a different video that she posted on youtube (youtube.com/watch) where she tells her story through cue cards, you’ll learn that her suicide date every year was on the 1st of May. She would always attempt on that exact date but in her final video she says that she can’t wait that long and commits suicide somewhere in April. And at the end of that video she shows her tumblr url. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that has made these connections but honestly, this just makes me love PTV so much more. They genuinely care about what happens to their fans and now every time I hear the song Bulls In The Bronx, I get major chills. Another reason why Vic Fuentes is one of the greatest artists out there in my opinion. He is a truly amazing human being and he is forever my idol.

Can you hear Vic talking after the solo? during don't take this out on me. Was it a tribute to Olivia Penpraze? Or is it something else? haven't found much on it.

The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
