Cinderblox Lyrics

If I one day found my way back home
One more ride for the hell of it

If I one day found my way back home
I would tell you how I love you so

One more time for the road tonight, honey
One more try just for the hell of it

Cinder blocks are keeping me inside
Wall so thick, cold yet benign

One more time for the road tonight, honey
One more try just for the hell of it

Can I stay away from you
if I get out of here soon?
Would the road be paved by my mistakes, by the law or by you?
Every wall in here is blue,
Every man here knows you too
We have seen your every curve,
The sole good purpose you serve

Yeah!

…I'm safe, I'm safe in here from you, I know
'cause you can't make me do things I would not otherwise do

One more time for the road tonight, honey
One more try just for the hell of it

When you're done with your wining and dining,
You make a man do things that wind him up in jail

In my opinion it's about alcohol, maybe drugs; personified as woman.

"When you're done with your wining and dining, you make a man do things that wind him up in jail" - Starts off innocently enough then once you're drunk you do something stupid.

"Every wall in here is blue" - A hospital or rehab centre rather than a jail, makes more sense to be rehab as "every man here knows you too", makes more sense they're all patients suffering the same addiction rather than prisoners that all know the same prostitute.

"If I one day find my way back home" - Never tried to find your way home while blind drunk :-p?

"Can I stay away from you, if I get out of here soon" - Addiction.

"Would the road be paved by my mistakes, by the law or by you" - Drink driving causing death and destruction.

"We have seen your every curve" - Bisaphic curve? Blood alcohol curve? Glasses? It's a liquid?

"Sole good purpose you serve" If in relation to the graphs, the sole good purpose is teaching people that alcohol is bad, being rehab and all.

A song about jailbait?

"Every man here knows you too We have seen your every curve, The sole good purpose you serve"

Seems to be about a prostitute

This song is definitely about jailbait.

The man always asks for one for the road, and even though he knows the girl sees other guys for sexual interests, she drives him crazy, she knows how to please him and the moment is quite good and he enjoys it a lot. But she means nothing to him, it's all about sexual pleasure.

Jail bait? i think that just reveals something about yourself that you might want to keep hidden.

I think this song is about a women or temptation or greed personified as a women.

Temptation being sweet but resulting in jail time when your caught.

Greed driving people to do things that end them up in jail.

I was about to scoff at the jailbait comments, but I think there might be something to it. The narrator is most certainly in jail and says he wants to go back to "you". Yet things are phrased in ways that make it seems like she's the reason he's in there, and when he gets out he will do the things that put him there in the first place.

The lyrics make it clear he doesn't want to be with just as much as he wants to be with her.

Because there is a banjo in this song it's probably about incest.
