I believe this songs means that when you are at your most susceptable, your most weakened state both mentally and possibly physically, and fear and doubt have taken over, there will always be hope towards the end. There is always hope in everything we do, leave everything behind and start from scratch.
I can relate to this song, I have been making improvements in my life. I have been associating with a more positive crowd, dropping friends that are negative and are in my way from acheciving what I want to do in life, I've been becoming more religious and just overall want my life to go in a clean, positive flow.
But I believe this songs applies to anyone who needs that positive note in their lives and want to change for the better as well as enduring any bad situations with life whether its family, friends or related.
