Let The Sparks Fly Lyrics

There's no such thing as maybe
Burn it like it's faded
No more hesitating
Let the sparks fly baby
Driving like you're racing
You can call me crazy
I'm just tired of waiting
Let the sparks fly baby

Give me one if it's real
And two if you can feel it
Three signs that you're awake
It only takes one spark
For two to fall apart
And three to blow it away

Give me one if it's real
And two if you can feel it
Give me three signs that you're awake
It only takes one spark
For two to fall apart
And three more to blow it away

Let me take you into the light
There's nowhere to hide
There's nothing but darkness left here
Shake it off and let's take a ride
Because heaven's not far away
And I'm not going to leave you here

There's no such thing as maybe
Burn it like it's faded
No more hesitating
Let the sparks fly baby
Driving like you're racing
You can call me crazy
I'm just tired of waiting
Let the sparks fly baby

Give me one good reason
Two more to believe in
Three signs to why I should wait
Because I got one more match
Two strikes left
You got until three to get out of my way

Give me one if it's real
And two if you can feel it
Give me three signs that you're awake
It only takes one spark
For two to fall apart
And three more to blow it away

Let me take you into the light
There's nowhere to hide
There's nothing but darkness left here
Shake it off and let's take a ride
Because heaven's not far away
And I'm not going to leave you here

There's no such thing as maybe
Burn it like it's faded
No more hesitating
Let the sparks fly baby
Driving like you're racing
You can call me crazy
I'm just tired of waiting
Let the sparks fly baby

Let me take you into the light
There's nowhere to hide
There's nothing but darkness left here
Shake it off and let's take a ride
Because heaven's not far away
And I'm not going to leave you here

Let me take you into the light
There's nowhere to hide
There's nothing but darkness left here
Shake it off and let's take a ride
Because heaven's not far away
And I'm not going to leave you

Let me take you into the light
There's nowhere to hide
There's nothing but darkness left here
Shake it off and let's take a ride
Because heaven's not far away
And I'm not going to leave you here

There's no such thing as maybe
Burn it like it's faded
No more hesitating
Let the sparks fly baby
Driving like you're racing
You can call me crazy
I'm just tired of waiting
Let the sparks fly baby

I am so confused. What Trevor said makes no sense to me (don't call me an idiot I just don't understand) When people say its about crack, that does make sense. But they are a Christian band and I have heard this song is about God taking you to heaven. Having you let go of your life on earth as a sinner, and going into the light of God.

You are pretty close.

In the song he is pleading to a friend, or someone he cares about to come to know Christ, and receive the Holy Spirit. "Let me take you into the light, there's nowhere to hide, there's nothing but darkness left here." The light is Jesus (called that many times in the Bible) and he wants to pull them out of the darkness (the world) and into relationship with Jesus. "Heaven's not far away, and I'm not gonna leave you here." Death is not that far away from any of us. It can happen at any moment,...

That's why he says "there's no such thing as maybe... no more hesitating. Let the sparks fly..." He's saying to stop hesitating and just become on fire for Jesus.

yes, no doubt its about crack. cmon, really people, are you gonna defend some party boys having a good time lol. nightmare9 sums it up best and i gotta say, its the exact same conclusion i reached when i read it(ps i didnt know it was a christian band until a few minutes ago, hows that for being fair and unbiased).if people want to try and BELIEVE in the goodness of these boys heart, just remember that creed was thought to be christian music too and look how they turned out(they say what many say in the christian music business and thats that its just a way to make more money).and for those that dont know, creed is not and prob will never be christian music, sorry to kill your delusions. to sum it up, they were smoking crack when they wrote this song and they are messing with your heads. dont put faith in bands, people or media, use your head and stop acting like a flock of sheep(and yes, im sure that plenty of the you non thinkers believe its ok to have faith in things beside god, like bands :)

@reneepzn that's not being unbiased, it's not understanding the band. Also, where do you get crack pipe. it's just crackling and fire. Why so bent outta shape about people finding the positive meaning. Especially cuz the rest of the album has a lot of religious symbolism. It would be reasonable to conclude in light of the rest of the album, this song would too

this song is about smoking crack... in the beginning you can hear the lighting of a crack pipe and laughter, and many refrences to the drugs effects in the lyrics such as... "You can call me crazy,I'm just tired of waiting" = crack makes u want the next hit right after it wears off... "Give me one if it's real" give me a hit if its good... "And two if you can feel it" give me two hits if ur stuck..... "Three signs that you're awake" crack can keep you up for days.... """"Let me take you into the light There's nowhere to hide There's nothing but darkness left here Shake it off and let's take a ride Because heaven's not far away And I'm not going to leave you here""" crack ultimitly kills the user... or takes control of them if they continue to use... anyways, basically the whole damn song talks about it..... im tired of copy pasting lol

My Interpretation

This song is definitely not about smoking crack. Thousand Foot Krutch is a Christian band, and "let the sparks fly" is in reference to being on fire for God. That is the reason for the match lighting at the beginning of the song.

In the song he is pleading to a friend, or someone he cares about to come to know Christ, and receive the Holy Spirit. "Let me take you into the light, there's nowhere to hide, there's nothing but darkness left here." The light is Jesus (called that many times in the Bible) and he wants...

This song is clearly about the rapture "there is nothing but darkness left here" (i.e The end of times) however, i believe, that this is told from not only the perspective of God, but also, from the Devil, If you listen to the song every other verse the main singers voice and music slightly change in some inexplicable, subtle, way. This, I believe, is when perspectives switch from God to Devil, and vice versa. For instance, when it says "let me take you into the light..." it is clearly is God, but when it says "Let the sparks fly baby" the tone of the singer becomes more rough. We can also take context from other lyrics that this is not talking about being "on fire for Jesus" as another interpretation says, because the lyrics "Youve got til three to get out of my way" suggests a more hostile and angry tone. One that may be interpreted as the Devil's.

But hey, that might just be me :P

P.S the one saying its about cocaine is a troll. Ignore them. Completely.

I have heard Trevor call it an, "Anthem to Action". When I hear the song, I visualize an epic battle between good and evil. What can I say? My mind and my imagination are are a little out there...lol. Another great from TFK!
