Tony's lyrics are always very poetic. They sometimes confound but more often move me. Although musically the song bears a strong resemblance to Heathaze, these lyrics are more straightforward. It's about that one person in your life that you feel you've been waiting for all your life. The one who lights up your life, touches your heart... and then breaks your heart by leaving. The title implies that - like autumn - this is something that is inevitable and happens to everyone.
