Right on Mother Lyrics
Right on Mother you`ve really blow my mind
I never thought we`d hit it off until today
Right on Mother you know the way I feel
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
I never thought you dig it so sure you hit the roof
And now you telling me you understand
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Right on Mother you know the way I feel
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
Never thought you dig it so sure you hit the roof
And now you telling me you understand
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Goodnight you born I`ll see you in the morning
Me and morrow got a good thing on
'Cause she thinks is grand
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Right on Mother you know the way I feel
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
I never thought we`d hit it off until today
Right on Mother you know the way I feel
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
And now you telling me you understand
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
Never thought you dig it so sure you hit the roof
And now you telling me you understand
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Goodnight you born I`ll see you in the morning
Me and morrow got a good thing on
That I`m a man
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Now you know I`m living with my girl and it`s real
Ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba

Peter Noone (who covered Oh! You Pretty Things in 1971 before Hunky Dory was released) said in an interview with Blitz magazine in 1986: "Then I recorded Right On, Mother. It was a great record. But there was no way it was going to get on the radio at that time. The song was about David (Bowie), who was telling his mother that he had finally fallen in love with a woman! It was probably a little bit ahead of its time. [...] I never did any more of David Bowie's song after Right On, Mother. I guess he wanted to save all of the songs for himself. Smart boy!"
