Impostors Kingdom Lyrics
Put your face on, stage your play
Deep deception, you've dug your grave
Cowards cross,
Indignation, impostors mount
The loss of the faithful feared
How long can you live in denial
How long will you ignore what's real
Live your own lies, taste your blood
Cowards crossing is feared
And you celebrate your fame
You celebrate your impostors kingdom
Nothing is real anymore
They claim to feed us the truth
It's the deepest hypocrisy
Impostors Kingdom
Deep deception, you've dug your grave
Cowards cross,
Indignation, impostors mount
How long can you live in denial
Live your own lies, taste your blood
Cowards crossing is feared
You celebrate your impostors kingdom
Nothing is real anymore
They claim to feed us the truth
It's the deepest hypocrisy
Impostors Kingdom

I cant believe this song hasnt been commented on i think its one of the heaviest on the album i love this song , pure metal!!!!!. As for the meaning i think it could be about someone who puts on a certain face and acts fake just to impress or fit in, and makes everyone believe in them. So in the end they are only "digging they're own grave"
I think it's about media feeding you information, you accept as truth and about politicians faking facts, that are never revealed as lies, because they are the only one's that have the true information and won't let the people hear. 4 example when it was never revealed, that there WERE NO weapons of mass destruction found in iraq... but that was the ultimatum, that Bush has given them, so they officially would have passed. Not all of unearths songs are dealing with polititcs, but this one most likely does.
could even be about religion again arguably. i think there's quite a bit about religion in Unearth's subtext, but could be just me. just 'loss of the faithful' reminds me of people turing away from organised religion after they realise how corrupt it can be...
My friend, Jeremy, introduced me to Unearth a while back and he told be that they are a Christian band, I'm not sure where he got that from... but it confirms what CohenSevenfold said (assuming C.S. was referring to Christianity as this "religion"... however Jeremy and I could be totally wrong.. if anyone knows if there is any truth to this please message at myspace.com/earlsrockinit
thank ya much
seems to be about big brother.....the gov .....the system....this world
Unearth is not in any way shape or form a Christian band. Often they are mistaken for Underoath who ARE a Christian band.
