Falling Lyrics

You in your shell
Are you waiting for someone to rescue you
From yourself
Don't be disappointed when no one comes

Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You become the problem

You all alone
Are you waiting for someone to make you whole
Can't you see
Aren't you tired of this dysfunctional routine

Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it
Don't blame me you didn't get it

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You become the problem

I already told you that falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
If you don't believe you can find a way out
You become the problem
Become the problem

Falling is easy
It's getting back up that becomes the problem
Becomes the problem
And if you believe you can find a way out
Then you've solved the problem
You've solved your problem

It's obviously about falling. And how getting up is problem.

When you do stupid things, get yourself into a hole and expect someone to dig you out, you become a burden to everyone around you. The only way to solve your problem is to get out of that cycle by yourself.

The only thing that can get you anywhere in life is yourself. Once you start trying to use other means such drugs/gambling to try to solve your problems, you're fucked. You'll become dependant on those things and then you'll really be in a world of shit. This even applies to people to some extent. Get too dependant on a person, then watch yourself crumble when they're gone. So the song is a warning message to get off your lazy ass and do what you have to do.. by doing it the way you know deep down inside is the RIGHT way.

I got this from the following lyrics: "you in your shell are you waiting for someone to rescue you from yourself? dont be disapointed when no one comes" ... "you, all alone, are you waiting for someone to make you whole?" ... "falling is easy, it's getting back up that becomes the problem"

It's about not giving up when you fail at something, ewhether it's relationships or whatever, you just have to pull yourself up and work harder next time.

This is a really good song off chapter v. Staind is an awesome band. As for the meaning, i think its pretty easy to figure out. Its about someone who has a problem and he expects someone else to make it go away but it doesnt always go that way, so aaron is telling him to dig himself out .

Definately one of my favorite staind songs. Very motivational.

I think this song's about getting addicted to things like sex, money, drugs, whatever, and then trying to get away from the addiction(s).

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! I totally agree with kindo about what this song means because I actually was in that kinda situation before listening to this song...and its kinda an inspiration to me to actually move on or do something except expecting someone to pull me out of my self-dug hole.

this song is awesome, it really gets to me. I think its meaning is to do with telling someone that they have screwed up and they need to pull themselves out of their hole. But i really get the feeling that Aaron is mocking me. Its as if he is telling me that the inevitable has happened and its all my thought. I once fell for this girl that i knew was bad news but I ignored what people said about her and thought I could change her. I feel as if aaron is saying "I told you so". Sorry for the essay but I get addicted to this song. I hate hearing aaron 'mock' me but but its like a scary movie or book, you just have to read on because its so good.
