The End of the Line Lyrics
It hurts so bad inside
Dialing into the payphone that's outside of the show
Cause everywhere I go my head is just a wreck
And it's no secret I've been dealing with,
But all I know is that I want to go
To the end of the line but it's obviously time
To stop this empty train and let somebody in.
A hundred thousand nights
Always moving to finally feel alright
But so unsure if it will endure
To the end of the line but it's obviously time
To stop this empty train and let somebody in
Cause even here tonight where I'm so wound up inside, I know that it's time.
Dialing into the payphone that's outside of the show
Cause everywhere I go my head is just a wreck
And it's no secret I've been dealing with,
But all I know is that I want to go
To stop this empty train and let somebody in.
Always moving to finally feel alright
But so unsure if it will endure
To stop this empty train and let somebody in
Cause even here tonight where I'm so wound up inside, I know that it's time.

sweet song, sweet new album
Agreed. This song (and album) are very good stuff. I love listening to music while I'm hot water music.
I think this song is about finally letting someone into your life, finally letting yourself be loved by another person.
...but when a train comes to the end of the line they throw everyone out, not let people in.
Just thought I'd throw that in.
It's about trying to slow down and get into a relationship. Let someone else into your life, like above said.
" Cause even here tonight where I'm so wound up inside, I know that it's time." - He feels finally ready to open up and be loved.
What it says is;
"But all I know is that I want to go
To the end of the line but it's obviously time to stop this empty train and let somebody in"
This makes me think it's about him wanting to go to the end of the line, all on his own, but it's obviously time to stop and let someone else come with him...
