12:51 [Album Version] Lyrics

Talk to me now I'm older
Your friend told you 'cause I told her
Friday nights have been lonely
Change your plans and then phone me

We could go and get forties
Fuck goin' to that party
Oh, really, your folks are away now?
Alright, let's go, you convinced me

12:51 is the time my voice
Found the words I sought
Is it this stage I want?

The world is shutting out for us
Oh, we were tense for sure
But we was confident

Kiss me now that I'm older
I won't try to control you
Friday nights have been lonely
Take it slow but don't warn me

We'd go out and get forties
Then we'd go to some party
Oh, really, your folks are away now?
Alright, I'm coming
I'll be right there

12:51 is one of those songs you listen to at 2:00 AM, or even 12:51 AM, alone in your bed, thinking about the one woman or guy you love but can't grasp because you know it will never work but you both love each other deep down.

This song is so beautiful. It's the overall epitome of a love story. First, the man falls in love the female but she's under the age of consent, but they love each other, but after awhile is doesn't work.

He's so bored, like how Julian Casablanca's sounds throughout the entire song, and has no will until she calls him up, wanting more love and attention than ever.

He doesn't care that much. He's bored. He's very apathetic. He just says the equivalent of "okay."

"Kiss me now that I'm older." What a line representing an affair or love forgetten.
