Complicated Questions

This song I believe simply is about an ended relationship, where the singer still has feelings for his partner, and his partner wants to get back together. But he knows that the relationship is over, and it is for the better that it is over, so he wants to "tear out this love". The complicated questions would be the questions of rejoining and restarting the relationship, the simple answer being NO. Thats my whole take on it anyway.

I think it means more than that... this is what it means to me:

"Easy to be taken with everything you're saying make us perfect and say it all again"

Certain things that she says makes it all seen perfect and good. Like maybe it could be little things that she says that gives him hope.

"but if every single seconds killing tell me im dreaming i'll sleep it all away"

But he knows that time is passing by and not helping to tell him that it isn't gonna happen and he will put his feelings away.

"You know you can tell me anything you want to tell me something that id never know You could be cautious as the words roll over your tongue im stung with sick discovery " They have a good relationship (whatever it might be) that's why she can tell him everything. He is waiting for her to say that she feels the same way. But she is trying to be careful not to hurt him. Because she doesn't and he knows it. That's why everytime she is cautions he knows and it sucks.

"Tear me from the complicated questions taking all the empty spaces inside me I dont want to hear these simple answers but complicated answers never did you any justice anyway and i dont want to hear you lie to me Complicated as we are we're going to have to burn it all away"

and as complicated as the feelings and thoughts he has for her. Complicated questions that are feeling his mind and are driving him crazy. He knows that she will give him a simple answer "No". But he also knows that she isn't about playing around and saying that "maybe". So he knows he has to "burn" his feelings.

The sad part is that i am living this damn song.. and it sucks.

I agree with most of what you said. i also think that when he says, "I don't want to hear you lie to me" it means that she usually lies and says she will do things right this time... she'll do her part to make it work... and it's always been a lie. She always goes back to her old ways, and he knows it, and can't take it anymore.

This song reminds me of my last relationship haha we were together for a little over a year, i found out she had been lying to me so much i had to end it i couldn't take it anymore. Thats how i see this song playing out.
